Creech Services Inc. offers two methods for disposal of your used straw bedding.  Smaller horse operations will usually be more of a fit for dumping muck at our Paris Pike facility, while larger horse operations will likely find it more economical to have their muck picked up from a concrete muck pit on the farm.

Muck Dumping
As a general rule, horse operations of less than seventy head will usually find it economical to dump their muck at our Paris Pike facility.  We calculate a service charge per load based on weight and volume to cover our cost of processing.  Because this material will be composted for mushroom growing media, it is important that the material be clean and fresh.  We do insist that all muck be completely free of trash and be generally no more than two weeks old.  Please remember that only straw bedding can be accepted. Anyone dumping straw containing trash or material other than straw will not be allowed to dispose of their bedding at Creech Services, Inc.

Muck Pick Up
For larger horse operations we also offer a muck pick-up service. We have a fleet of tractor-trailer units and loaders that move from farm to farm and haul away your used bedding.  As with the muck that is dumped, it is important that any muck that is picked up be free of any foreign material such as trash or soil.  For this reason, we require that a concrete pit be constructed at the site of pick-up.  For those interested in our muck pick-up service, please contact us at 859-293-6658, and we will be happy to send a consultant to your facility to meet with you about the design and construction of your muck pit.
